Future Journeys 2008 to Tokyo and Belgium

The future journey design - Tokyo 08
The future journey design - Tokyo 08, from 28 October to 2 November 2008, is a symbol of Tokyo Designer's Week, the largest design event in Japan. In the framework of this series of events, visits to various exhibitions and trade fairs and other hot spots of Japan's creative scene are on the agenda. The Austrian delegation will also visit the largest fashion design school in Japan and several design exhibitions.

During the six-day stay, participants will have enough opportunities to contact Japanese designers. Several networking events and roundtables with media, opinion leaders and major players of Japanese design are planned, amongst them representatives of the "Japan Industrial Designer's Association“ and the „Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization".

Participation fee for this market exploration trip and hotel costs in Tokyo are borne by go international. Flight costs and board are to be paid by the participants themselves.

The future journey design - Belgium 08
The future journey design - Belgium 08 will take place from 15 to 17 October 2008. The trip begins in Liege at the 4th International Design Biennial followed by Brussels, where the Austrian delegation will visit the Dominique Rigo showroom, a pioneer of contemporary Belgian interior design, and the Design Institute „Design Vlaanderen“.

In Antwerp visits to the renowned fashion museum MoMu, to the exhibition "MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA. (20) The exhibition" to to the Design Center "De Winkelbaak" and the library materials "matériO" are on the agenda. Last destination is Kortrijk, with a visit to BIC Carpets awarded with several excellent prizes and a visit to the fair "INTERIEUR 2008".

The participation fee for this market exploration trip is borne by go international. Flight, board and residence are to be paid by the participants themselves.
