Ryker takes up the spirit of recycling of everyday crockery which is no longer in use. China of various sizes, forms and of different ages is unified into a new set of tableware by applying a simple graphic element. Recycled china is upgraded into “silverware”.
Each plate is second hand and represents a unique copy. The edge of each plate is glazed with gold and re-fired at 820° Celsius, in the middle only a square section of the original plate remains visible.
